Aloha Friday YIPPY, and Fall break for those who have little ones in school...
Ok, so I wanted to share this with you especially if you have small ones in school or are part of an organization and need to keep track of a lot of papers that are always coming in.
My sister gave me a tip to carry this plastic container with me in my car. It's similar to those 12x12 plastic containers we use to store our cardstock or designer papers, but this one is just the regular size for 81/2x11 paper. She keeps all the children's school papers in here until the event is over. That way she knows exactly where it is and is the right size to carry into any school meeting.
Of course I just had to jazz it up with Hello Kitty! The inside I made an area to hold my pen, sticky notepad, and some paper clips... like my mini office! hehee! I'm sure a lot of you have your own set up but here is mine. HAPPY ALOHA FRIDAY EVERYONE!!!

Have you tried a BIC?
Hey there! Have you tried a sharpie marker? Before I got into Copic markers, I used the BIC Sharpies. Now days they come in a large variety of colors. They are a lot more affordable but of course difficult to do the shading. But if you just wanna add some color to your images these are super.
I know it's no where near Girl's Day but this card was made using the sharpies. I hope you enjoy and Have a great day!

Ayoko Shaker Card
Hello ladies!
I made this card of Ayoko from Sister Stamps when it was first released. I thought I should post it before the third release of stamps comes out. Some of you may have already seen this card. I had already shared it with Michele and the DT of Island Scrapbooking here in Hilo.
This was the first shaker card I ever made and I'm really having fun making them. I figured that since she has an umbrella I matters well have some bling raining down on her.
I hope you enjoy... Have a wonderful day!

Cricut Christmas Card
TaahDaaah...
The Cricut is a real challenge for me. Every time I look at my cartridges I end up putting them away and ink up a stamp instead. So although I have created some things using the Cricut, I feel that every creation using it is a HUGE accomplishment.
So 4 o'clock this Sunday morning I created this card. I had to do it when my family was sleeping so that I don't take my frustration out on them. Hehe... No, I'm not that bad... kinda... sorta not. no no really not. (ok, sorry. I was trying to convince myself)
HERE IT IS...
Nothing fancy, but it's completed. I have more to make so wish me luck. Thanks for looking and enjoy your Sunday!

Christmas Cards
Good Morning everyone!
I'll be making some cards to help out Kris who is making cards to add to dolls that her Aunty is making. Whew, to better explain I'll leave to Kris, check it out here...K-Lusive Kreations.
I've always wanted to make cards to donate so here is my chance. I found some paper that I've had for a while now and just added some simple embellies and basically kept it very simple. Here they are...
I thought they looked a little too pastelly for children, so back to the drawing board and I brought out my Cricut last night. Boy do I need to practice up on those cartridges. I'm so bad at cutting and pasting the dies. I guess it doesn't look too bad because my daughters are already "wow-ing" at the images. Hehe...pour girls are getting excited for Christmas now and there is still three more months to go.
Thanks for looking... and enjoy your Aloha Friday!

My Craft Room
Aloha everyone!
I've had some request to see my craft room, so here are a few pictures...
My Husband custom made this paper rack that has 65 slots.
He also cut the cabinets down to accommodate my shortness and is the perfect height for all the inking we do for stamping.
And he added the laminated flooring set at 45 degrees for that added special touch.
Here is the custom made embellishment shelves. There is even a place for me to place all my stickles up-side-down. My magnet and cork boards on the wall. There is a lighted ceiling fan and recessed lights running above the counter top areas for extra lighting. He did all the work himself, turning our outside patio into my "Craft Haven".
My Husband knew how much I admired Jennifer McGuire's craft room so he did his best to resemble her room yet keep my personal style and decor. He put cabinets because we wanted the place to look clean and organized. He and I did so much research in finding exactly what I wanted in my room and I love everything about it. Our agreement was that I would always have to keep this room clean...Bwuaah haha! A crafter with a clean area? Hehe... (I cleaned it just for pictures)
Thanks for looking and I would love to see what your craft room looks like too, so please link me up!!!

I must say, I'm really having a lot of fun decorating cheap things. LOL! Okay, taking affordable items and adding a personal touch to them. :-D
I hope everyone is enjoying their week so far....Thanks for lookin!

My Man...
I thought I share a card I made for the wonderful man that always gives me strength, support, encouragement, and most importantly love. My DH was nice enough to enclose our back patio (which we never used) and made a craft room for me. He added a few surprises on custom making my paper racks and embellishment shelves. He wanted to make sure that I had my own personal space. Of course with two little girls who always want to copy mommy, I had to make sure they had their space as well. I love that because I know that one day I will be lonely in there by myself.
Okay back to my DH, he never fails to give me advice on life as well as my crafts. He always brings out the best in me and basically treats everyday as if it were my birthday or Mother's day. Although this card doesn't come close to what he deserves this is what I made for him.
Thanks for looking! Have a wonderful day!

Thank You Card
Happy Sunday everyone! Today I'm sharing a card DD "Hunnie" made. She made this for one of her Aunties who we asked to be on her emergency contact list for school. I'm trying to teach her to always show gratitude for those who are part of our lives and to always show kindness. Hopefully she can exemplify that to others while she's young enough and that it will stick with her before the rest of the world cast their examples on her.
I did all the cutting and she did the coloring and pasting. Not bad for a four year old huh? lol!
Thank you for looking!

Hello Kitty Nail Kits
Hi everyone!
I made some nail kits using the Cricut to make the totes and the Sizzix Hello Kitty Die. Included are: nail polishes, a nail file, a nail clipper, and a lipgloss. These were supposed to go into acetate pails but didn't fit. So I used another nail polish for the pails. Both pictures are below. I used cling stamps from Hero Arts for the pails. These were SUPER FUN to make, it's such a girl thing!
Thank you to all my new blogland friends for all your sweet words. I really appreciate them all and they are so encouraging to continue crafting. Have a wonder second half of the week...we are almost half way!
Thanks for taking a peek!

Anya Card
Good Morning! I'm sure by now you all have checked out Amy over at A Thousand Sheets of Paper, and seen her Autumn Greetings post. Amy also gave a tutorial over on Color Me Copic using Kiyomi from Sister Stamps. Amy is so sweet for making the tutorial and always does such a great job of inspiring us to give it a try.
Well, I didn't go with the sepia tones but I did something similar and went with brown tones on Anya from The Greeting Farm.
I hope you enjoy it...I still have a lot of practicing to do. Enjoy today!

Wizard Miyono
Is everyone having a great long weekend? I'm still trying to get the hang of making a shaker card. This is now my second time making it and I'm having a lot of fun with it. I used Miyono, one of the new images from Sister Stamps. I changed it up a little to make her look similar to a wizard for a Halloween card. I added a wand in her hand from Yoko's pole. Don't you just love all the new images? Well...have a fun and safe Labor Day weekend! Thanks for looking:-D
