Sister Stamps Release#11 Daruma- Day 3

For today I decided to go with a pop up card.  When I saw Daruma I thought of a Japanese restaurant or business setting...wellll... because most often that's where you'll see a daruma.  So in my mind this is exactly what I invisioned...

So I have Daruma sitting on a table.  Behind him on the wall is just a Martha Stewart decorative sticker button that I used as a wall decoration with bamboo plants on each side.  And as in every Japanese restaurant you'll see a Noren (Japanese fabric divider) hanging.  My Noren is hanging on the top part of the card.  You may not see the slits too well but their there.  I also added a "Good Luck" sentiment from Island Scrapbooking.  All the paper is "Infuse" by Basic Grey.

Here's a close up of Daruma on his table...

I hope you all have been visiting all the wonderful creations that are being shared by these ladies.

Sister Stamps Release #11-Maneki Neko Day 2

Aloha!
Is everyone enjoying the release?  Jenny and Debi both have inspiring crafty ideas.  You'll need to check out their blogs.  Here is my next creation using the Maneki Neko image from Sister Stamps.  It's a treat container using an acetate paint pail.  I covered it using "Serenity" paper from Bo Bunny.  I jazzed up the edges of the nestability frame with gold stickles.  I also added a cute sticker charm to the cover to finish off the decor.  It's filled with Asian candy.

Here's a close up of Maneki Neko...

Thank you for stopping by and please be sure to check out everyone's blog.  These ladies are amazing!

Sister Stamps Release #11 - My Little Kokeshi Girls Day 1

Heellllooo Friends!!!  I've had my fingers, toes, and eyes crossed just hoping that my blog friend  (whom I have personally known for a couple years now), Jenny to invite me as a Guest Designer for Sister Stamps...WOOHOO!!!
Can you tell I'm excited? hehe...  Well, I love love love all the images from Sister Stamps and never tire of using them in my crafts.

February happens to be my favorite month not only because my birthday is this month but I love Chinese New Years and Valentine's Day.  This year I decided to make a gift for my daughters for Valentine's.  Their bedroom is decorated Shabby Chic (which I totally love), but for awhile now I've wanting to incorporate an Asian flair to it.  This is what I came up with...

Basically it's a collage in a wooden frame.  I handwrote both my girl's names and I added a few stamped Kanji images meaning: Friendship, Love, and Harmony.  Three symbols that I wish for them to have forever in their relationship with eachother.  The Japanese printed papers and stickers are, "Cherry Delight" by My Little Shoebox and the stripe papers are, "Love Nest" by My Mind's Eye.

And...of course the lovely "KOKESHI".

She is so cute! So what'ya think?... Asian Shabby Chic?!?! LOL  Thanks for visiting!

Birthday Money Roll

Hi everyone!  I hope everyone is enjoying the year so far.  I made this for my cousin Beve who's birthday was yesterday.  It's money all rolled up into a cute liitle box. We spent the day together along with our really good friend Diana Horseback riding for two hours then we spend two hours getting pampered at a spa, then had some yummy Japanese food for dinner.
It was a special treat that Beve's husband surprised us with.  He chauffered us around and all we did was relax. I almost thought that I was the birthday girl! lol  Thanks for visiting my blog and have a wonderful evening!
